Recently there was at the parade blog a blog collection of open books . Especially when I have golem read that the 2nd Edition of "Linux - The independent distribution Handbook" (John Plotner) by Galileo Computing as an open book to download and in an online version was made available.

The book looks at over 1000 pages the basics of Linux regardless of the different distributions. I can recommend to anyone who deals with Linux, this book highly enough. Building on the knowledge conveyed here can quickly lose the fear of the console and thus understands his computer a little better :-) .

Finally here is still the Delicious list of my favorite Open Books.
