The version 2.6.5 of WordPress is here, and security updates you should not have to wait so long. Especially not when one views the experience as I had been hacked to have been.
With the usual update procedure quickly comes the desire for an automatic update. But as we all have probably still wait until version 2.7 [1] or the plugin WordPress Automatic Upgrade of Techie-Buzz install [2].
I'm personally a little careful with automatic updates and use up to now the possibility of the automated installation of plugins (yet).
