When I was asked the other day if I want to test the new version 9 of Audials One, I'm happy to agree.
Audials One is to know for which there is not a software for finding, record, download and convert music, movies, videos and radios, as they would like to have Mac OS X, but it receives only for Windows.
What new features are now in version 9 to the already existing rich feature set (see previous tests added)?
My test I have therefore also focused primarily on new features in the areas of cloud integration, audio and video recording.
Right the first time, you can create a audials account to synchronize settings across multiple computers installed. The registration was for me a bit notchy, as the capcha was really hard to read.
The integration of the drop box was very easy, however. Because the Dropbox app is already installed, the detection is rather easy. The integration is well done and something to push into the drop box, or use of this is easy.
The only downside is that you must aktvieren again after every reboot the drop box.
I would have liked to Grooveshark tested, but that recently, the GEMA Thank in Germany is no longer available. So I've been using Last.fm made do. If you are logged on to their website, launched on the radio and turned the recording into audials one, the audio stream is divided into individual tracks clean and written to disk. The tags for MP3 title and artist, unfortunately you have to manually grudge. Cover, music and lyrics can then be complete.
The radio at Last.fm offers only a few songs by an artist. If you are looking for as you get as a result of the Airbourne track "Runnin 'Wild" by the band, but immediately after "Shoot in the back" by Motorhead. If you are looking for a specific track, you can try looking through the music of Audials One. When searching for "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen I have found, however, only videos. A song request on the basis of the already mentioned comprehensive music database with additional audio filters carried the title with all meta-information (covers, lyrics, etc.) but after 10 minutes on my plate. This is of course always depend on how often a song is played in Internet radio. A second attempt with "Somebody that I use to know" by Gotye needed even just 5 minutes. During the recordings will be displayed in addition, whether the song is complete (in my version lacked two seconds at the beginning and 13 at the end - it's just radio recordings).
Videos can be recorded either directly on the URL to the new magic button (which appears directly in the web page) or via screen capture. The ability of the URL is ideal for Youtube videos. After downloading the videos can be converted automatically into a target format. This can also be a pure audio format, if you want to extract only the music track.
The test task for the new magic button was a series result from the online offering of Sat1. But in the Chrome browser boasts of "magic button" only once with invisibility, and it also changes at other sites (such as the evening news) nothing. If you would like to see the "magic button", then you must use Internet Explorer (which I'm extremely reluctant as a web developer, because the IE is evil and will remain). This is mentioned nowhere, but I use the ugliest of all browsers is to include possible and successful.
Conclusion:
Audials One would like to save 9 on Windows is still the tool that allows online media content (music, movies, videos and radios) offline. The new interface is almost self-explanatory and the integration of cloud services (like Dropbox) is well dissolved. Little things have certainly improved. So you have the cloud services again after each restart of the program and select videos, one should include only the Internet Explorer because of an otherwise "magic button" is denied.
But apart from Audials One works just fine and reliable and 9 it is also as in previous years my greatest wish is a native Mac version.
Raffle:
Audials I received from the manufacturer kindly provided 3 licenses for my readers. Take part in the draw all to me until Sunday, 03/11/2012, an 'I must have "left a comment and tell me what program they want to replace with Audials One 9 maybe.
The trailer for Audials One 9 I want you not be withheld, even if it ends abruptly after about four minutes, unfortunately.
I say once every programmer in the course of his work was ever on the site of stackoverflow.com get help or to make selbige.
What I found recently, is guided on this page list of freely available programming books . The books are for programming from A (like ASP.NET MVC) to W - ordered (such as Websphere Application Server, this is likely more complex than some programming language).
As far as I could see there are all the books in English and I want to mention at this point, two German "Open Books" that have helped me in my work:
What are the German and freely available programming books have helped you?
